Even half a century ago, when computers were unheard of and mobile phones not yet conceived, the lives of people were mostly confined to a few meters around them. Microwave ovens and 3D television have become as ordinary as water and the sky and people no longer need to be even in the same continent to strike multi-billion dollar business deals.
